My name is Kieran Lewis and I am am passionate multidisciplinary designer based in Melbourne, Australia. I am currently working as a Product Designer at Schiavello and previously a Junior Lighitng Designer for Satelight. I hold a Bachelors of Industrial Design (Honours) and continues to work and educate myself in a freelance capacity.

I love design more than anything, I began in Engineering at Deakin University but after I had a design class in 2nd year I completely fell in love with the world of design, I spoke to my lecturer at the time and he suggested industrial design. I found Swinburne and applied straight away, since then I have been working to become the best designer I can be.
My current plan as a designer is to familiarise myself with a wide range of design skills, and then as I gain a solid groundwork begin to dive deep in to particular areas that interest me.
My approach to software is very much the same, I have experience in a range of software packages (I absolutely love learning software), and am now starting to choose a handful that I want to explore further.
My favourite piece of software is hands down Blender, since 2nd year of Uni I found blender and I think for both Rendering and ideation it is such an under rated tool for Industrial Design. The freedom it gives you to rapidly ideate and explore ideas is unmatched. I am currently enrolled in several Blender courses and although Keyshot is considered the industry standard for Industrial design I personally believe Blender to be a more valuable tool.
